Texas Longhorns Baseball
The Texas Longhorns are one of the great bluebloods of college baseball. Six national championships, the winningest program in Division I history, most NCAA tournament appearances. In 2026, I started writing an edition of the Austin Horns Fan Dispatch for Texas home series (and the post season). Those editions are the blog.
Texas Men's Basketball
The Longhorns basketball team is the other sport in my top 3. With the hiring of Sean Miller last year, and a solid first season, the Horns look to be an elite program, competing for a national title.

The Juan Heisman Tailgate
All this began with a tailgate party not long after Mack Brown's arrival on the Forty Acres. Now in our 29th season of tailgating, the Juan Heisman Tailgate now includes three generations of many families. Joining the Southeastern Conference has led to some of our most epic tailgates. The JHT party makes every Texas home game a grand event and reunion with friends from all over Texas and the USA, and we are excited for all of our friends across the South who will be coming to Austin for SEC games. The Juan Heisman Tailgate is a private party sponsored and operated by JHT1998 L38, Inc.
